The Catholic Diocese of Zaria in Kaduna State has confirmed the abduction of Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ezema from his residence at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Rumi.

The incident occurred late Tuesday night, and the Diocese has expressed regret, calling for prayers and support for the priest’s safe return.

“We call on all men and women of Goodwill to pray for the safe and quick release of our Priest and others from the hands of their abductors,” the statement read.

The Diocese emphasized collective support and intercession for the priest’s safety, urging faithful to continue praying for Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ezema’s safe return.
