Otunba Adekunle Ojora, a renowned Nigerian businessman and traditional titleholder, has passed away at the age of 93.
The Ojora family announced his death, stating he died in the early hours of Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in Lagos. He will be buried according to Islamic rites.
Ojora, born in 1932, had a distinguished career in journalism, public service, and corporate governance. He began as a journalist with the BBC in the 1950s, later joining United Africa Company (UAC) as an executive in 1962.
He became Chairman of AGIP Nigeria Limited from 1971 to 2002, making significant contributions to Nigeria’s private sector.
He is survived by his wife, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family requests prayers for his soul, seeking Allah’s mercy and a place in Aljannah Firdaus.
