FCT Police Commissioner, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, urged all officers on duty to maintain the highest level of professionalism, remain impartial, and ensure adequate security coverage at all polling units and collation centres.

“The public is hereby informed of a restriction of movement across the FCT from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on February 21, 2026, except for essential service providers and election officials,” he stated.

CP Dantawaye also appealed to residents to cooperate with security personnel, adhere to the guidelines, and exercise their civic duties peacefully.

He advised the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police via the emergency numbers: 08032003913 and 08061581938.

The FCT Police emphasized that all necessary measures have been put in place to guarantee a free, fair, and secure electoral process.
