Major General Aminu Bande (Rtd), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kebbi State during the 2023 election, has formally resigned his membership from the party.

In a resignation letter dated April 5, 2026, Bande stated that his decision takes immediate effect, citing the need to align with his people’s collective decision to promote good governance in Kebbi State and Nigeria.
