Nigeria has a new face of law enforcement communication, as DCP Anthony Okon Placid takes over as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) from Benjamin Hundeyin.
The appointment was approved by Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, according to a statement released by Hundeyin himself.
DCP Placid brings extensive experience in administration, operations, intelligence, training, and international peacekeeping to the role.
His impressive portfolio includes serving as Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa State, Chief of Training for the African Union Mission in Sudan, and Head of Training and Development for the United Nations Mission in Darfur.
A seasoned officer, Placid holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Regional Planning from the University of Uyo, a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the University of Jos, and a Bachelor of Laws from the National Open University of Nigeria.
