The government has put in place strict guidelines to prevent unrest during the celebrations, citing credible intelligence reports indicating attempts to create trouble.

The Durbar will follow a modified route, with Hawan Idi taking place from Kofar Mata Eid Ground to Gidan Shettima, and ending at Kofar Fatalwa of the Emir’s palace. Some events, including horseback displays, have been suspended for public safety.

The announcement comes amid an unresolved legal battle between Sanusi II and Aminu Ado Bayero, with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf reinstating Sanusi II in 2024.

The government assures a peaceful celebration and urges residents to cooperate with security agencies.
