Nigeria Super Eagles will defend their Unity Cup title against India national football team, Jamaica national football team and Zimbabwe national football team at the 2026 edition of the tournament scheduled to take place in London from May 26 to 30.
The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that Nigeria will return as defending champions, having won the previous edition after defeating Jamaica 5–4 on penalties following a 2–2 draw at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Now in its fourth edition, the Unity Cup will once again feature countries with strong diaspora communities in the United Kingdom. Nigeria and Jamaica are widely regarded as favourites based on their pedigree and current rankings, while Zimbabwe and India complete the four-team lineup.
India’s participation marks a notable milestone, as it will be their first appearance in the competition. The Asian side last toured England over two decades ago and are expected to draw strong support from the Indian community in the UK.

The tournament will be played in a knockout format, with semi-final winners progressing to the final, while the losing teams will compete for third place.
Nigeria will be aiming to retain their title, with Jamaica seeking redemption after last year’s final defeat, while India and Zimbabwe look to make their mark on the London stage.

Beyond the trophy, the competition provides Nigeria an opportunity to build momentum and further integrate players as they continue preparations for future international engagements.
