President Bola Tinubu is set to inaugurate the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge in Lagos this week, a major infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and easing traffic congestion in the metropolis.
The bridge, a collaboration between the Lagos State Government’s Transportation and Works ministries, will link Opebi in Ikeja to Mende in Maryland, creating an alternative route to reduce traffic around Allen, Mobolaji Bank Anthony, and Ikorodu Road.
The Lagos State Government describes the project as a “transformational and strategic” initiative that will improve daily mobility for residents, reduce commuting stress, and enhance economic development in the state.
The Opebi-Mende Link Bridge is expected to serve as a vital alternative route for motorists, helping to decongest some of Lagos’ busiest traffic corridors.
