President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, on a one-day working visit to inaugurate key infrastructure projects across the state.

The visit is focused on advancing infrastructure development, improving power supply, and boosting economic activities, particularly for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Among the projects slated for commissioning are the Yenagoa–Gbaramatu road, the 630-metre Angiama–Oporoma bridge, and the Sagbama–Ekeremor road, all aimed at enhancing connectivity and easing transportation challenges in the state.
Ahead of the visit, Governor Duoye Diri declared a public holiday in parts of Bayelsa and ordered the closure of markets, alongside increased security measures to ensure a smooth and orderly event.

The projects, described as legacy infrastructure, are expected to significantly improve access to riverine communities and support business activities across the state.
