Former DR Congo captain Shabani Nonda has officially submitted his candidacy for a seat on the Executive Committee of the country’s football federation ahead of the deadline.

The ex-AS Monaco striker, widely regarded as one of Congo’s most iconic football figures, is now positioning himself as a strong contender in the upcoming elections.
His entry into the race has stirred reactions across the Congolese football community, adding fresh momentum to the electoral process within FECOFA.

Drawing on his international experience and deep knowledge of the game, Nonda is presenting himself as a credible option to drive reforms and revitalise football administration in the country.
