Yusuf Tuggar, the immediate past minister of foreign affairs, has formally obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination form for the 2027 election in Bauchi state.

A video circulating on social media shows a formal ceremony at the APC secretariat where Tuggar collected the N50 million form amid a large gathering of party officials and supporters.

The event featured party leaders seated at a table processing documents, with supporters filming the proceedings and cheering the former minister.

Tuggar, who previously served as Nigeria’s ambassador to Germany, recently resigned from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet to pursue the governorship.

He has pledged to abide by the outcome of a credible APC primary and emphasised the need for quality leadership, inclusive governance, and protection of minority rights in the state.
