The Supreme Court has affirmed the David Mark-led faction as the authentic leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), ending a prolonged legal battle over the party’s national executive.

In a judgment delivered on Thursday, April 30, 2026, the apex court set aside conflicting lower court rulings and held that the convention that produced the Mark-led National Working Committee complied with the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines.
