Buba Galadima, a political associate of Rabiu Kwankwaso, has confirmed that Kwankwaso and Peter Obi will unveil a new political platform on Monday.

Galadima made the disclosure during a stakeholders’ meeting organised by the Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) Movement in Abuja.

According to him, the announcement of the new platform will be followed by reactions from political opponents, including media criticism and coordinated social media attacks.

“As from Monday, when our leaders declare on which platform they will run, I want to tell you that one of two things will happen. First, they will sponsor columnists. Two, they will deploy social media influencers to start attacking our candidates,” he said.

He urged supporters of the movement to be prepared to defend their leaders online and in public discourse, stressing that responses should be firm but calculated.

“For all of you who are on social media and those with the mighty pen, you must be prepared to respond to anything they are going to say,” he added.

Galadima also advised supporters to avoid initiating attacks but to respond strongly if provoked, insisting that their leaders should be defended against criticism.

He drew comparisons to international conflicts, using the analogy to emphasise the need for preparedness in political communication battles.

The planned announcement by Kwankwaso and Obi is expected to clarify their political direction ahead of future elections, amid growing speculation about realignments within Nigeria’s opposition landscape
