A 30-year-old aspirant, Mahmud Sadis Buba, has completed his screening by the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the House of Representatives seat representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency in Kaduna State.

Buba, also known as Abin Al-Ajabin Zazzau, appeared before the screening panel in traditional attire in a video that has since gone viral on social media, drawing attention for his youthful appearance, which many say makes him look younger than his stated age.
During the session, he confirmed that he is 30 years old, the minimum constitutional age for the House of Representatives, and described himself as the firstborn of nine children.

He said his decision to contest was driven by calls from his community.
“It is not from me. It is from the people,” he said when asked why he wanted to run.
When questioned on what he wanted from the party, he replied: “Help to pass the screening, having passed the requirements, because people called me to serve them. I am not doing this for myself.”

Buba disclosed that he is contesting alongside the incumbent House of Representatives member for the ticket.
He also serves as chairman of a support group known as the ‘Tinubu–Uba Sani Agenda ’27’ and recently purchased the APC nomination forms.

The video has sparked widespread reactions online, with some users expressing surprise at his age eligibility while others praised his composure during the screening process.
Supporters describe him as a grassroots mobiliser representing youth participation in politics, while his candidacy has also triggered broader discussions on age, merit, and inclusion in Nigeria’s political space.
