President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to formally receive the All Progressives Congress (APC) Certificate of Return and the party’s presidential flag on Sunday, following his emergence as the party’s candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The presentation ceremony is expected to take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja after the conclusion of the nationwide collation of results from the APC presidential primary election held on Saturday.

According to a statement issued on Saturday, May 23 by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the APC Presidential Primary Elections Committee will officially present the certificate of return and the party flag to the president.

The event is expected to draw top party stakeholders, including APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC), federal lawmakers, and other senior party officials.

The statement confirmed that the ceremony will formally conclude the party’s presidential primary process and signal the beginning of preparations for the APC’s campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
