Gunmen stormed an immigration office in Ogbomoso, Oyo State late Tuesday night, disarming officers on duty.
The attack happened around 10 pm, according to reports gathered by Daily Post Nigeria. Officers at the facility were overpowered and had their firearms taken.
A source in Ogbomoso confirmed the incident, but asked to remain anonymous. As of Wednesday morning, the Oyo State Police Command’s spokesperson was yet to comment on the attack.
This is the latest in a string of security incidents reported across Oyo in recent weeks.
