Air Peace grounded and delayed several flights on Monday after a power surge knocked out a key part of its IT setup.
The airline said the surge hit a critical server that manages crew scheduling and flight planning. As a result, multiple routes across its network faced delays while technicians worked to bring the system back online.
“The disruption was caused by a power surge which impacted a critical IT infrastructure server supporting our crew scheduling and flight planning processes,” Air Peace stated.
The carrier apologized to passengers for the inconvenience and said it knows the delays affected travel plans. It added that safety is still its top priority and teams are working with service providers to fix the issue.
Air Peace expects repairs to wrap up today. Operations should gradually return to normal after that, it said. Passengers were advised to check the airline’s official channels for updates on their flights.
