Paris Saint-Germain have opened negotiations with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig over the signing of highly rated Ivory Coast forward Yan Diomande, according to a source close to the discussions.

The 19-year-old attacker is reportedly eager to join the French and European champions and has informed Leipzig of his desire to complete a move to the Ligue 1 giants during the current transfer window.

Diomande, who is under contract with the German club until 2030, is said to have expressed his strong interest in joining PSG, prompting formal talks between both clubs.

The proposed transfer could also pave the way for Portuguese striker Goncalo Ramos to leave the French champions for Italian side AC Milan.

According to the source, PSG and AC Milan have already reached an agreement for Ramos, with the deal valued at approximately €74 million and potentially rising to €90 million through performance-related bonuses.

Born in Abidjan, Diomande spent a brief spell with Spanish club Leganés in 2025 before joining RB Leipzig, where he enjoyed an impressive debut Bundesliga campaign, scoring 12 goals.

The young forward is currently with the Ivory Coast national team and is preparing for their Round of 32 clash against Norway at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday.

If completed, Diomande’s signing would represent PSG’s first major acquisition of the summer transfer window.

Ramos, meanwhile, is set to end a three-year spell in Paris during which he won three Ligue 1 titles, two French domestic cups and two UEFA Champions League trophies.

The former Benfica striker struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under coach Luis Enrique, often playing behind attacking stars Kylian Mbappe and later Ousmane Dembele.

Although he did not start a Champions League match for PSG this season, Ramos made a significant impact from the bench, scoring 45 goals in 131 appearances across all competitions.
