The work-from-home policy for civil servants has been expanded by the Lagos State Government in response to the growing expense of living.
The government has extended the “flexible work initiative” for an additional three months in order to mitigate the consequences of the loss of the gasoline subsidy, according to a statement released by Lagos State Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday.
“Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has magnanimously approved the extension of the flexible work-from-home initiative for an additional three (3) months with effect from September 4th to 3rd of December 2024,” the statement reads.
Accordingly, all accounting officers are enjoined to note the content of this circular for compliance and give it the deserved service-wide publicity”. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, declared in February that employees in grades 01 through 14 and 15 through 17 could work from home two days a week and one day a week, respectively.
