The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee for Coach Augustine Eguavoen to continue as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles.

Eguavoen, who also serves as the Federation’s Technical Director, will lead the team in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Libya next month.
The 58-year-old coach, temporarily in charge of the Super Eagles for the fourth time, previously guided the team to a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic and a scoreless draw against Rwanda in their AFCON qualifying campaign earlier this month.
Eguavoen, along with his technical crew—comprising Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa, and Tomaz Zorec—will also oversee the Super Eagles B team during the qualifiers for next year’s African Nations Championship (CHAN).

In addition, with the departure of former coach Randy Waldrum, the NFF Executive Committee approved the recommendation for Coach Justin Madugu to lead the remaining technical crew of the Senior Women’s National Team, the Super Falcons, on an interim basis until a new Head Coach is appointed.
The Super Falcons’ next major tournament will be the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations finals, scheduled to take place in Morocco next summer.
