Cindy Ngamba is set to make her professional boxing debut on 7th March in London, featuring on the undercard of the highly anticipated unification bout between Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price.

The 26-year-old made history at the Paris Olympics last year as the first athlete from the Refugee Olympic Team to secure a medal, earning bronze. Now, the Cameroonian fighter is setting her sights on becoming a world champion in the professional ranks.

Reflecting on her journey, Ngamba said, “I have competed against the best in the Olympics and as an amateur. Now, I want to test myself against the best in the professional arena and see how far I can go. This debut is my chance to showcase my skills and represent not just myself but Great Britain and refugees worldwide.”

Ngamba has signed a “multi-fight” promotional deal with Boxxer, with promoter Ben Shalom praising her as an “incredible athlete.” Her professional debut will take place on an all-female card, headlined by domestic welterweight rivals Price and Jonas.

Other notable names on the card include WBC lightweight world champion, Caroline Dubois, as well as Karriss Artingstall and Raven Chapman, who will face off in a featherweight clash. Super-middleweight champion Savannah Marshall is also expected to be added to the lineup.

Ngamba’s debut promises to add even more excitement to a stellar night of women’s boxing.
