Ibrahim Farinloye, coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Lagos, confirmed that five adult males with serious injuries have been rescued and taken to the hospital.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has dispatched heavy-duty equipment to aid in the search and rescue operations.

Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA spokesperson, stated that the agency is working alongside other stakeholders to rescue any remaining victims.

As the rescue efforts continue, officials are warning that the death toll may rise, with more people potentially trapped under the debris.

The incident has raised concerns about building safety and construction standards in the state.
