Mudashiru Obasa, the former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, made a surprise return to the legislative complex on Monday, March 3, 2025.
He held a meeting with a group of lawmakers outside the chamber, which was also attended by Mojisola Meranda, the current Speaker of the assembly.
The meeting reportedly broke into two groups, with Obasa and Meranda meeting separately with the Lagos attorney general and the state’s APC chairman.
Obasa has maintained that the process that led to his removal as Speaker on January 13 was flawed.
