The highly anticipated draw for the finals of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania 2024 took place on Wednesday, January 15, in Nairobi, Kenya. The draw revealed thrilling matchups for the tournament scheduled for August 2025.

As hosts, Kenya headlines Group A, facing a formidable lineup of former champions, Morocco and DR Congo, alongside strong contenders, Angola and Zambia. With multiple past winners in the mix, this group promises to deliver exciting encounters.
Tanzania, the seeds in Group B, will compete against Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic. This group is expected to compete fiercely as teams vie for the top two spots.

Uganda leads Group C and will take on Niger, Guinea, and two yet-to-be-determined qualifiers. With unknown elements in the mix, this group is shaping up to be one to watch. Defending champions, Senegal are the top seeds in Group D, joined by Congo, Sudan, and Nigeria in a compact yet intensely competitive pool.

Two spots remain unfilled, with Algeria, Comoros, Gambia, Malawi, Egypt, South Africa, and Gabon set to battle for the Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 positions. These teams will complete the tournament roster.
