The late scholar was a respected religious leader and academic, known for his contributions to Islamic studies and spiritual guidance at UNILAG.

Prof. Bidmos was widely respected for his unwavering commitment to Islam and his tireless efforts in advancing charitable causes. His contributions to the IBILE Muslim Community Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation left a lasting impact, and his wisdom was a guiding light within the Muslim community.

A Life Dedicated to Service Until His Last Breath

Even in his final hours at 4:45 AM this morning, Prof. Bidmos remained dedicated to his duties, acknowledging a discussion post in the BoT platform—an act that reflected his deep passion for the cause he served until the very end.

The Muslim community has been urged to pray for his soul, give charity on his behalf, and seek Allah’s mercy upon him.

“We beseech Allah (SWT) to grant him maghfirah, overlook his shortcomings, make the questioning in the grave easy for him, illuminate his resting place with divine light, and admit him into Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement read.

Janazah Arrangements to Be Announced

Details of his Janazah (funeral prayers) will be communicated in due course. The IBILE Muslim Community and the entire Ummah are encouraged to honor his memory through acts of charity and prayers, ensuring his legacy continues to be a source of blessings in the Hereafter.

May Allah (SWT) grant him eternal peace and make his good deeds a source of perpetual reward.
