Blessing Adagba, Coordinator of Ngbo Central Development Centre in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has regained her freedom after spending five days in captivity.

Adagba was abducted by unknown gunmen in her hometown, Okposhi Eheku community, last Thursday.

The Ebonyi State Police Command confirmed her release on Wednesday evening, attributing the successful rescue to their efforts. One suspect was arrested during the tracking operation after Adagba’s release on Tuesday night.

Police spokesperson SP Joshua Ukandu said the arrest could help in identifying and apprehending the rest of the gang. The incident highlights ongoing security concerns in the region.
