Security forces and local defence volunteers in Burkina Faso on Wednesday repelled a coordinated attack by armed terrorists on a joint security position in the Nabouden area of Ouargaye, located in Koulpélogo Province.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack, which occurred at about 3:30 p.m., targeted a mixed post comprising personnel of the National Gendarmerie and the Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland (VDP).
