Nigeria: Six Delta Reps Members Defect from PDP to APC, Two LP Lawmakers Join PDP

Six members of the House of Representatives from Delta State have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), while two Labour Party (LP) legislators have joined the PDP.

The defecting PDP lawmakers are Victor Nwokolo (Ika North East/Ika South), Julius Pondi (Burutu), Thomas Ereyitomi (Warri North/Warri South/Warri West), Nicholas Mutu (Bomadi/Patani), Ukodhiko Jonathan (Isoko North/Isoko South), and Ezechi Nnamdi
(Ndokwa/Ukwuani).

Meanwhile, Obetta Chidi (Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South) and Dennis Agbo (Igbo-Eze North/Udenu) left the LP for the PDP.

The defections were announced during plenary by House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
