Yusuf Dingyadi, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has formally resigned from his position.

In a letter dated June 25, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Iliya Damagum, Dingyadi expressed his deep appreciation to the party for the opportunity to serve over the last three years.

“While I appreciate the support and prayers of the PDP family during my stay in this office, I remain appreciative of all the contributions given to me to ensure the success of my assignment,” the letter stated.

Dingyadi played a pivotal role in shaping the PDP’s media narrative during some of its most turbulent moments. As the party’s media strategist, he was a regular presence across radio, television, and print platforms, where he consistently defended party policies, clarified internal issues, and championed unity within the ranks.

Though he did not disclose the specific reason for his resignation, his departure signals the end of a significant chapter in the PDP’s media operations, which saw active engagement during key political transitions and election cycles.

A seasoned journalist with over 20 years of experience, Dingyadi previously worked with respected media outlets such as Reporter/Nasiha and BBC Hausa. His political media career has spanned major campaign roles, including those for Obasanjo/Atiku (1999, 2003), Jonathan/Sambo (2011), and Atiku/Okowa (2023).

He also served on the media team of the late Minister of Communications, Arzika Tambuwal, and played active roles in political movements such as the People’s Front, the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Democratic People’s Party (DPP), and in the administration of former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
