Defending champions D’Tigress of Nigeria will battle Cameroon in the quarter-finals of the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, on Thursday (today).

The Nigerian team advanced to the last eight after winning both of their group games. Coach Rena Wakama’s side began their title defence in dominant fashion with a 92–45 demolition of Rwanda, followed by a hard-fought 65–60 win over a resilient Mozambique team.
Cameroon, on the other hand, booked their quarter-final ticket with a commanding 85–64 win over Angola in the playoff round.

D’Tigress, who are unbeaten in the tournament since 2015, are aiming to make history by becoming the first team to win five consecutive Women’s AfroBasket titles. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. Nigerian time.
