President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday arrived in Ibadan, Oyo State, for the coronation of former Oyo State governor, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The President’s convoy touched down in Ibadan at about 2:25 p.m., where he was received by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde. He was accompanied by the governors of Ondo, Ekiti, and Osun states — Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Biodun Oyebanji, and Ademola Adeleke, respectively.

Tinubu had departed Abuja earlier in the day, leaving the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at around 12:45 p.m. for the Oyo State capital.
The coronation ceremony is holding at the historic Mapo Hall, with the President leading a host of dignitaries and traditional rulers to witness the installation.
Ladoja emerged as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan following the death of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin on July 7, 2025.
