Members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) staged a peaceful protest at the United States Embassy in Abuja, urging the international community to help protect Nigeria’s democracy and prevent a drift toward a one-party system.

The protesters submitted letters to the US Embassy, European Union complex, and Ministry of Justice, alleging undue intimidation of opposition members by the ruling party.
