President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja today for a two-nation visit to Johannesburg, South Africa, and Luanda, Angola.
He will attend the 20th G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg from November 22-23, followed by the African Union-European Union (AU-EU) summit in Luanda from November 24-25.
The G20 Summit, themed “Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability,” will bring together leaders from the world’s top 20 economies to discuss inclusive and sustainable growth, climate change, just energy transitions, and food systems.
Tinubu will also hold bilateral meetings to advance Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Agenda and discuss regional and international peace, security, and development.
After the G20 Summit, Tinubu will join other Heads of State and Government at the 7th AU-EU meeting in Luanda, focusing on shared challenges such as climate change, infrastructure, and the digital economy.
He is accompanied by top officials, including Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar and Finance Minister Wale Edun.
