Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has launched a scathing attack on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, accusing him of orchestrating a campaign to destroy his political career and integrity.
During a television interview on Thursday, Mohammed labeled Wike a “terrorist” and claimed the FCT minister was behind a recent terrorism financing charge filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against his finance commissioner.
Mohammed, who chairs the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, also called Wike an “undertaker” working against the PDP’s interests from within and described him as a “big drag” on President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The governor vehemently denied any links to banditry or terrorism, framing the accusations as political persecution for his refusal to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He stated that he has written to the Attorney General of the Federation seeking protection from what he called “victimisation” and an attack on his fundamental human rights.
