Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has signed the state’s ₦583.3 billion budget for 2026 into law after its passage by the State House of Assembly.

The budget, named the “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Economic Renewal,” allocates ₦373.69 billion (64%) for capital projects and ₦209.64 billion (36%) for recurrent expenses.

Governor Fintiri emphasized that the budget focuses on strengthening infrastructure, expanding education and healthcare, creating jobs, and improving citizens’ welfare.

Amid recent security concerns, he also announced plans to deploy newly trained forest guards to Hong Local Government Area to address challenges there.

The governor highlighted that the budget reflects the needs of communities across the state and aligns with his administration’s eight-point agenda.
