Access Bank also remembered the loss of Dr. Wigwe’s wife, Doreen, and their son, Chizi, describing their passing as profound and deeply felt by all who knew them.

“As we remember Dr. Wigwe today, we also remember his beloved wife, Doreen, and their son, Chizi. Their loss is profound, and they remain forever in our hearts,” the statement added.

The bank noted that Dr. Wigwe played a pivotal role in shaping Access Bank’s identity and growth, helping transform it into one of Nigeria’s most respected financial institutions. Under his leadership, Access Bank became widely recognised for its innovation, integrity, and commitment to service, leaving a lasting impact on the banking sector and the broader business community.
