Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, announced that some federal universities have already reflected the approved increase in their salary payments, with steps being taken to ensure uniform implementation nationwide.

Vice-chancellors have been directed to integrate the allowance increase into their payroll systems and ensure prompt payment.

The agreement also introduces a new Professorial Cadre Allowance, with full professors receiving ₦1.74m annually and readers earning ₦840,000 per annum.

The Consolidated Tools Allowance (CATA) will support research, journal publications, and conference participation, among other academic activities.
