The Kaduna state government has reunited 204 victims of recent mass abductions with their families.
The victims, including children and women, were kidnapped from three churches in Kurmin Wali, Kajuru local government area, on January 18.
Governor Uba Sani announced that the survivors received medical attention and psychosocial support before being reunited with their loved ones.
The reunion follows a joint security operation that led to the rescue of the remaining 89 victims.
The state government has promised to construct an access road, establish a healthcare facility, and provide support to farmers and residents to restore livelihoods and dignity.
A military base will also be advocated to strengthen security in the area.
The survivors spent 18 days in captivity before regaining freedom. The government has assured sustained support as they rebuild their lives.
