The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dennis Otuaro, has said the recent visit of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to the Warri Kingdom in Delta State aligns with and supports Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s development agenda.

Otuaro made this known on Thursday while congratulating the First Lady on her one-day visit to the oil-rich community, describing the trip as a significant and positive development for the people and government of Delta State.

In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Igoniko Oduma, Otuaro expressed confidence that the First Lady’s presence would strengthen ongoing efforts to promote sustainable peace, security, and development across the Niger Delta region.

He noted that Senator Tinubu represents national peace and unity, which he said are central pillars of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He also commended her humanitarian efforts through the Renewed Hope Initiative, which he said has continued to provide support to vulnerable Nigerians nationwide.

Otuaro described the First Lady as a compassionate and dedicated leader whose initiatives are making meaningful contributions to improving lives and uplifting communities.

He further stated that her Renewed Hope Initiative complements Governor Oborevwori’s MORE agenda—Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security—which is focused on advancing Delta State’s socio-economic growth.

According to him, the visit would leave lasting memories for residents, adding that the First Lady’s achievements would continue to inspire people across the state.

Otuaro also highlighted achievements under his leadership of the PAP, noting that over 9,000 students have been sponsored to universities within and outside Nigeria since he assumed office in March 2024, pursuing courses relevant to key industries.

The Presidential Amnesty Programme was established in 2009 to address militancy in the Niger Delta by disarming and rehabilitating former agitators. The initiative has since expanded to include education, skills acquisition, and empowerment programmes aimed at fostering lasting peace and development in the region.
