The newly elected Assistant Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Karamo Yesiro, has died.

Yesiro was among the state executive members elected by consensus during the Lagos State APC congress held on Tuesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Onikan, Lagos. The congress produced a new set of party executives led by the state chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi.
His death occurred just hours before his inauguration alongside other members of the state executive council, which was scheduled to take place on Thursday at the Lagos APC Secretariat.

The Lagos State chapter of the APC confirmed the development in a statement issued on Thursday by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo.
According to the statement, the party received the news of Yesiro’s sudden passing with shock and deep sorrow, describing his death as a painful loss at a time when his commitment and dedication to the party were most needed.
The party noted that Yesiro had recently been entrusted with the responsibility of serving as Assistant Publicity Secretary and was widely regarded as a loyal and committed member of the APC in Lagos State.

It also highlighted his contributions to the growth and stability of the party, saying his passion for progressive politics and readiness to serve left a strong impression on colleagues and party members.
Although his tenure was cut short before he could formally assume office, the party said his enthusiasm, humility, and dedication would not be forgotten.
The Lagos APC added that members of the party are united in mourning his passing and will remember him for his service and belief in the ideals of the party.
