Stephen Constantine has been reappointed as head coach of the Rwanda national football team on a two-year contract.
The 63-year-old Englishman will leave his current role with Cypriot club APEA Akrotiri to assume his new position on March 16.

Constantine previously managed Rwanda between May 2014 and January 2015 before departing to take charge of the India national football team.

In a statement, the Rwanda Football Federation said the experienced coach would bring “leadership, technical expertise and dedication to advancing Rwanda’s football ambitions.”
Born in London, Constantine has built a coaching career across several national teams, including the Nepal national football team, Malawi national football team, Sudan national football team and Pakistan national football team.

Rwanda are currently ranked 130th in the latest FIFA rankings and are aiming to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2027, which would mark only their second appearance at the tournament following their debut in 2004.
Constantine’s first match in charge will be a friendly against the Grenada national football team in Kigali as part of the FIFA Series.
