The Strait of Hormuz has been declared fully open to commercial shipping, according to Iran’s Foreign Minister, following a period of heightened tensions in the region.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran had informed that the strategic waterway is now “fully open and ready for full passage.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister also confirmed the reopening of the strait, stating that commercial shipping can now pass without restriction.

He added that the decision aligns with a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, which has helped ease tensions in the region.
Authorities said the move is intended to restore stability to one of the world’s most critical maritime routes for global trade.
