Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has dismissed renewed allegations linking him to the 2018 Offa robbery, describing them as false and politically motivated.
In a statement, Saraki said he had no involvement—direct or indirect—in the incident, stressing that the matter was thoroughly investigated in 2018.
He noted that legal advice from the Office of the Attorney General at the time found no evidence connecting him to the crime. According to him, prosecutors explicitly stated that there was no case of conspiracy, armed robbery, or homicide against him.

Saraki also pointed out that suspects in the robbery case were prosecuted, convicted, and had their convictions upheld on appeal, reinforcing that the judicial process had already settled the matter.
He accused the Kwara State Government of reviving the allegations for political reasons, describing the move as harassment.
The former Senate President said his legal team is prepared to challenge any fresh attempts to implicate him in court.
He further alleged that there were efforts to involve families of victims in a civil case against him, but claimed the attempt did not succeed.
