Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye delivered a standout performance as his side secured a 3-0 win over AC Milan at the San Siro, setting a new personal milestone in Serie A.

The Nigerian shot-stopper produced a composed and commanding display, helping Udinese keep a third consecutive clean sheet for the first time in his Italian top-flight career.

Okoye was central to the victory, as Milan dominated possession and registered 20 shots, with three on target. He responded with key saves that ensured Udinese maintained control of the game.

Among his most important interventions were two crucial stops to deny Milan midfielder Luka Modrić, including a low save and a sharp reflex stop that preserved his clean sheet.

The result completed a strong run of form for Okoye, who has now kept successive clean sheets against Genoa, Como, and AC Milan, marking a major improvement in consistency.

Across the 2025/26 season, the 26-year-old has made 24 Serie A appearances, conceding 26 goals and recording eight clean sheets. He has also produced 67 saves with a 72 percent save rate, alongside several advanced goalkeeping metrics that underline his impact.

Okoye has prevented more goals than expected based on shot quality, while also contributing to Udinese’s build-up play with accurate distribution and 166 successful long passes.

His performance adds further weight to his growing reputation as Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper, especially after reclaiming the position in March amid increased competition from other contenders.

With his current form and improved consistency, Okoye’s display in Milan could represent a defining moment in both his club season and international standing.
