Nollywood actor Richard Oguntimehin, popularly known as Don Richard, has debunked rumours circulating online that he had died.
In an Instagram video posted Friday, the actor was seen dancing joyfully to upbeat music, dispelling the false reports.
In the caption, he thanked fans for their concern while criticising bloggers for sharing unverified information.
“My fans nd friends I really appreciate you all. You all will not fall, I dey alive ooo. The bloggers should continue their bad posting, God will judge all of them, amen,” he wrote.
In a 2025 interview, Don Richard opened up about a serious health battle that began with a sudden spinal cord injury.
That incident led doctors to discover an enlarged bladder and kidney complications.
“The only thing I did back then was to drink herbal concoctions in the mornings. Sometimes I used water to take my herbs instead of alcohol,” he said.
“For two years now, I have stopped taking anything that has to do with alcohol. I don’t take soft drinks. I only take water.”
“I had just anchored a show and was resting in my room when, around 1:05 am, it felt like someone was nailing my spinal cord. I managed to walk and was advised to go for a check-up. That was when it was discovered that my bladder was enlarging and my kidney was beginning to have issues.”
The actor had also appealed for N50 million in financial assistance as he battles severe kidney disease.
In 2024, the actor announced that he had quit alcohol and smoking in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.
