According to the timetable, the sale of nomination forms for all elective offices will run from 6 May to 16 May, 2026. Submission of completed forms is scheduled for 17 May to 18 May.

Screening of aspirants for House of Assembly and governorship elections will hold on May 20, while screening for National Assembly and presidential aspirants will take place on May 22. Screening results will be published on 23 May.

Appeals and petitions for House of Assembly and governorship aspirants are set for 24 May, with those for National Assembly and presidential aspirants on May 25. The final list of cleared aspirants will be published on 26 May.

Party primaries for House of Assembly and governorship positions will hold on May 27, while National Assembly and presidential primaries are slated for 29 May.

Asogwa announced the fees for nomination forms. For House of Assembly, the expression of interest form costs N1,000,000 and the nomination form N2,000,000, totaling N3,000,000.

For the House of Representatives, the expression of interest form is N1,500,000 and the nomination form N3,500,000, bringing the total to N5,000,000.

Senatorial aspirants will pay N2,500,000 for the expression of interest form and N7,500,000 for the nomination form, amounting to N10,000,000.

He added that the party’s National Working Committee has decided to give Abia Governor Alex Otti the form free of charge.

In line with the party’s motto of “Equal Opportunity and Social Justice,” concessions have been approved for certain categories. Female aspirants, people living with disabilities, and youths aged 25 to 30 will only pay for the expression of interest forms for all positions.

The LP also urged prospective aspirants for the 2027 elections who are yet to register to take advantage of the ongoing membership e-registration, open from May 3 to midnight of May 4, ahead of the compilation and submission of the party’s membership register to INEC in compliance with the Electoral Act, 2026.
