Nigerian Yoruba Actor Okiki “Janmole” Adeshina Dies in Car Crash

Yoruba film actor Okiki Adeshina, popularly known as Janmole, has died after a car accident on June 2, 2026.

Bolaji “Mr Latin” Amusan, president of TAMPAN, confirmed the news on Instagram. He said Adeshina died from crash injuries and prayed for peace for his soul and comfort for his family.

“May the soul of our departed colleague rest in perfect peace. He will be greatly missed,” Mr Latin wrote.

Tributes poured in from fans and co-stars. Actor Jomiloju Olunbe shared a final memory from set: “He laughed and said ‘Jomiloju, I no know say I fine pass you like this o’. I never knew it would be the last time with him. R.I.P Okiki.”

Adeshina was known for Yoruba-language films like Agunbaniro, Ìyàwó Asante, and Ọgbọ́n Inu. He also grew a big following recently on TikTok creating skits and comedy content.
