Police authorities in Ogun State have recovered a Lexus RX300 reportedly stolen from the residence of slain broadcaster Kitan Oyesiku, who was killed alongside her security guard by suspected gunmen on Sunday.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Command, Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed that the vehicle was recovered during a night operation and has since been secured as an exhibit to aid ongoing investigations.
The police also said the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, visited the residence of the deceased broadcaster, where the incident occurred, as part of efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killings.
According to the command, the visit was aimed at strengthening the investigation and ensuring that those responsible for the attack are identified and brought to justice.

During the inspection of the premises, Ojajuni received briefings from detectives handling the case and reiterated the command’s commitment to tracking down the perpetrators.
He expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and assured residents that significant progress was being made in the investigation, adding that updates would be provided as developments unfold.

The deaths of the broadcaster and her security guard have sparked concern in the state, with residents calling for a thorough probe into the incident.
Police said the security guard’s body was discovered at the security post within the premises, while the broadcaster’s body was later found inside her apartment. The Lexus RX300 was earlier reported missing from the scene before being recovered during the latest operation.
