Swedish top-flight club AIK have completed the signing of promising Nigerian midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla from Beyond Limits FA.
The 18-year-old has signed a long-term contract that will keep him at the Stockholm-based club until December 31, 2030.

AIK confirmed the transfer in a statement, revealing that Agbenla has been registered on a first-team contract but will initially continue his development with the club’s academy side.
The Swedish club described the agreement as a transfer player contract, allowing the young midfielder to gradually integrate into the senior team.

AIK’s recruitment manager, Miika Takkula, expressed confidence in Agbenla’s ability, describing him as a versatile box-to-box midfielder with an impressive understanding of the game.
According to Takkula, the Nigerian combines defensive discipline with attacking quality, possesses excellent ball control and regularly contributes goals and assists.
He added that the club had monitored Agbenla’s progress since the beginning of 2025 and was further impressed by his performances during the Gothia Cup, where Beyond Limits FA participated.
Agbenla’s move to Sweden marks another significant step in his development as he looks to establish himself in European football with one of the country’s most successful clubs.
