Olympic champion, Eliud Kipchoge has opened up about enduring a distressing period of online abuse that erroneously linked him to the tragic death of fellow Kenyan marathoner, Kelvin Kiptum.
Kiptum, a rising star who posed a potential challenge to Kipchoge’s dominance in the marathon, tragically passed away at the age of 24 in a car accident in February 2024. The false accusations circulating on social media alleging Kipchoge’s involvement in Kiptum’s demise deeply shook the renowned athlete.
